If you are looking to export furniture from Indonesia, you need to make sure your products have the right certificates. To receive these certificates, you need audits from recognized companies.
Firstly, if you are exporting wooden furniture, it is essential that your wood is SVLK certified. The indonesian government has issued this certificate for legality and traceability of wood. Secondly, FLEGT, called V-Legal in Indonesia, is another certificate regarding wood legality and traceability for export to Europe. Thirdly, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) issues several certifications like chain of custody.
Then, there are social and ethical certificates like SMETA (SEDEX) and ICS. These certificates are both globally recognized and are issued to companies that prove to be ethical regarding labor, health, safety & business ethics.
In addition, if you want to export furniture with upholstery to the UK, you need the UKFR license regarding fire safety.
Lastly, the not-for-profit organization FSC takes care of its own certifications.
As growing in harmony is our vision, we want to make sure that our whole supply chain is ethical. Therefor, we take our certifications seriously. We strive to make French classic furniture in the most ethical and social way. Furthermore, we have received a wide range of certifications, to satisfy our global partners. Specifically, all above mentioned certificates are issued to Pijar Sukma, including FSC 100% (certification number BV-COC-139862). Lastly, we understand that some of our buyers are reluctant to make the distance for personal inspections. For this reason, we not only arrange a large number of yearly audits for certificates. We also allow our partners to send their favored auditors for inspections.
If you’d like to know more about our certificates and audits, don’t hesitate to contact us directly. We would be glad to explain about certificates and audits and help you to have the right certificates to import our products.
